Three Traits I Need to Work On

May 24, 2013 § 3 Comments

Day 24 of Blog Every Day in May is here and it’s a looking-honestly-in-your-heart one.  Your top 3 worst traits.

IMG_2373_2The above picture has nothing to do with this post whatsoever.  I just can’t wait till it is warm enough to run around barefoot this summer!

With this post I enlisted James for a little help and a little insight into what he thought were three things that I need to work on.  I asked him what my top three worst traits are and he got a smile on his face and easily told me two.  He couldn’t think of a third (How sweet is that!  Love is blind!), but later when I asked him again, he gave me a third one (and that one brought a smile to my face).  James was so honest and sweet when I asked him about my flaws.  I love that we can be completely honest with each other without upsetting one another.

Without further adieu, here are things that I need to work on:

1. I can become impatient with people.  I know, terrible right?  I move at a very fast pace in life and when I perceive that others are slowing me down, I can get irritated.  But I’m learning that there are times when I need to slow down, take a breath, and enjoy being still.

2. I can have trouble asking for help.  I sometimes like to do things on my own without the help of others.  I tend to think that I can do things more efficiently on my own.  And then when someone tries to help, my impatience can kick in.  Oh my, I do need to work on this, huh?

3. Lastly, James said I love him too much.  How sweet of him.  I don’t know if I should fix this one!  I should get better at doing this flaw more often.  And I bet if I get better at this flaw of loving him too much, I’ll be more patient with him and be willing to ask for help with things.

🙂 he is darling. and I understand loving someone “too much”. one of the hardest things I have struggled with is that I am always really extreme. i don’t know how to love a little, if that makes sense. and i’m always afraid that because i love so much that i have no power in the relationship. luckily, my husband doesn’t want to have power over me 🙂 great blog! it’s already warm here, but it won’t stop raining!
