First of Spring

{Let me acknowledge the elephant in the room…Yes, I am wearing two different earrings.  I had no idea until I came home and looked in the mirror.  And even James didn’t notice.  At least they both had gold in them…right?}

Yesterday when I walked to our mailbox I couldn’t help but smile.  It was so nice out.  The sun was shining, the birds were chirping, and I wasn’t cold!  It actually felt like Spring and I was loving it.  So husband and I decided that we needed to take advantage of the warm sun and get our first frappuccinos of Spring.  If you don’t know us, we love Starbucks.  Starbucks is where husband and I went to grab coffee and have deep conversations when we were just friends.  It’s where husband first told me on Valentine’s day that he liked me.  It’s the place where I heard a close friend tell me she was engaged, and where I then surprised her and told her that I was engaged too.  And of course coffee made it into the theme of our wedding.

Moving on from that tangent.  We have not been to Starbucks in over a month, so we were over due.  And it is a perfect time to drink something cold when the sun is out and it is warm.  But of course the clouds came out just as we left and a little itty bitty rain cloud emptied a few droplets on our windshield, but we went anyway.  And the frappuccinos were good.  And refreshing.  And it was half-off frappuccinos…Starbucks happy hour, we love you.  And we still had money on a gift card.  And once we were back inside, the sun came out again…of course.
