out with the old, in with the new

Usually every year in the winter I get an itch. An itch to do something with my hair. Usually I just go to Target and buy a box of dark hair dye, and dye my hair really dark, almost black. But this time around I was feeling something completely different. I was thinking of going red. But I was not going to dye it myself! I knew if I were going to do something, I had to go professionally. But it is so expensive, so my wanting to dye my hair just sat on the back burner.
Then last week, one of my coworkers gave her two-weeks notice, so she started cleaning out her desk. And lo and behold, she found gift cards to a hair salon that she wasn’t going to use. So she gave them to me! Now I could get my hair done for free! So I immediately booked an appointment, and took the plunge.
I just got it done, so the colors are going to fade, but I really like it so far! The red is a more natural red, which is what I wanted 1st time around, and I am interested to see what it looks like in a few days after a couple washings. My hair dresser did a dark red on top and then did blonde on the bottom, kind of like ombre. It’s fun to finally have different hair. I feel like a new person!
Even James likes my new hair!
Love it! You’re even more beautiful!
Thank you Stephanie! You are so sweet! 🙂
What a great gift from your co worker! Love the results!
I love it Brea I might do the same thing, you inspired me!!!
Oh yes! If you do it, I’d love to see pictures!
Just came across your blog . . . I LOVE your hair! The red/blonde goes so well with your curls!
Thank you! I’m enjoying the change! 🙂
I think it’s suuuuper cute! And I just love your hair in general. Those curls are to die for. Darn my straight hair that won’t curl for anything!
Thank you! I used to hate my curls when I was younger – I wanted straight hair like all my girlfriends! But now I appreciate the craziness! 🙂
